Greater Volley and Multiple proj now is Exceptional?

The announcement left unspoken about the fate of the Greater Multiple Proj and Greater Volley. The GMP had an Awakened version, but now the Exceptional versions of the gems are called "Greater". Does this mean these gems will only be available in the endgame? Or will they remain in Act 4?

GMP and Greater Volley are now exceptional supports, they won't be available in acts.

GGG even renamed LMP so it doesn't sound inferior.

Is this confirmed information or speculation?

This change would be absolute ass if they removed gmp and g.volley from acts.

I haven’t seen or heard the devs say it out loud, but it’s written between the patch note lines. Not sure if that counts as confirmed for you.

– Greater versions of Supports no longer work alongside their non-Greater version, in a similar way to how Awakened Supports did not work with the corresponding non-Awakened version of the Support. In the case both versions of a Support are socketed, the Greater one takes priority.
– Existing Supports affected by this change include: Multiple Projectiles and Greater Multiple Projectiles, Volley and Greater Volley, Spell Echo and Greater Spell Echo.
For example GMP doesn't work together with Multiple Projectiles (former LMP) in 3.28. Why? Because awakened supports don't work together with their corresponding ordinary supports. Now exceptional supports are replacing awakened supports. If GMP was't going to be exceptional, the restriction wouldn't make sense.

Lesser Multiple Projectiles Support has been renamed to Multiple Projectiles Support.
From the content reveal we know that exceptional supports promoted from worthy awakened supports are called "greater". If GMP was't going to be exceptional, to avoid confusion, GGG should've renamed it to Multiple Projectiles, instead of LMP.

Is there anything indicating that GMP might remain an ordinary support? Because I really don't get the confusion.
Devs just confirmed in Ziz`s podcast that neither GMP nor greater volley did change at all, however they DO NOT have exceptional variants.
