Pathfinder Ascendancy Point Weaknesses
|
Hi guys,
I like Pathfinder a lot, but it is restricted too strongly to poison skills and got punished by the Suppression nerf. Also it has embedded pure annoyance features (non-automatable life flask, flasks go down after zoning). - Master Alchemist is awful. It is not synergetic with any of the flask automation enchantments and the ailment removal is terrible. I have never taken it. I would not take it, if it costs 1 passive skill point, because it does nothing. - Pressing periodically the life flask for Master Surgeon is not fun and annoying. It is unnecessary when one has solved the flask charge sustain, because one always wants the life flask to be active (except maybe Poisonous Concoction; maybe...). - Nature's Boon is very weak, if one plays 2+ unique flasks. But scaling unique flasks is what Pathfinder excels at. - Master Destiller does simply not work with skills which hit often (i. e. basically all ranger builds which are not traps or niche skills such as Viper Strike of the Mamba). Also it does not work with Mageblood. It should be replaced by something different, e. g. something like "Quarz Infusion Revised: Phasing during any flask effect, +20% chance to suppress spell damage during any flask effect. Suppress additional 10% of spell damage during any flask effect." - The lack of options to generate additional flask charges per time strongly presses to wear "The Tides of Time" which has no life roll. Finding life is a bit of a problem for Ranger and the spell suppression nerf without compensation for Pathfinder does not help: 20% less tankyness against spells. Consequently there is no non-chaos "honest" pathfinder build which has 4 Ascendancy point options. That is sad. Frostblades or Ice Shot or something has no support, although these are Ranger skills. Also, the game deactivates active flasks, when one changes zones (Delve, Lab), but does not reset the charges. Consequently, one can die, although the flask charge management had been perfect, if remaining flask effect time would not have been discarded. Please give this a consideration for a rework.
