allow borrowing on faustus

there needs to be a way to borrow items on faustus to sell, or give an options market to allow for bearish trades. many times i know the price of something is ridiculous and i know with 110% certainty it'll come down a lot.

i'd pay massive premiums to borrow extremely overpriced items i know will crash in price guaranteed.

in fact, devs, if u allowed for this, price volatility would drop drastically and items would be mostly trading at "fair value", because shorters will prevent price spikes to tulip levels.

Absolutely not.
Isn't a fluctuating, player-driven economy what GGG wants?

Items don't have a "set price". A divine isn't worth "X", as it gives different power at different stages of the game, and there is WAY more divines being added to the economy in week 3 than in week 1.

I think you're way off with this one, chaD.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
wow we got 110% certain market crash predictions from armchair traders before GTA 6. (jk)
oh.. no, just no.

gameplay wise it is absolutely terrible

and to not just stick to opinions: hedging, lending and stuff work IRL because you can be tracked and your debts extracted out of you with help of judicial system

in a game? you borrow, default and logoff. no way to make you pay your stuff back.

not happening and i do not see a single problem this idea would help solve

u have to put a large collateral for borrowing, like 100% of the position size, and furthermore the proceeds from selling borrowed items cannot leave faustus until u pay back the borrowed items.
