"The Maven interferes with players" can be 'only in combat'

Can the map mod "The Maven interferes with players" be slightly modified so that she only interferes with us when we're in combat? Getting slowed while trying to loot after killing things is a minor inconvenience. Yes, I dash to remove it right away, so it's not THAT big of a deal, but, it would be nice if she only interfered with us while we're in combat and just passively studies us while we're not in combat.
