Help me co-op

I'm playing co-op with a friend. My P1 character is the first one. But when playing co-op, the map doesn't follow P1, it follows P2. How can I make it follow P1?

Does this relate to playing on console?

Searching for answer is coming up saying couch co-op does not existing in POE1. I don't know if that is correct, but if you are asking about POE2, you'll need to use the early access sections at the top of the forum.
