Phrecia 2.0 - Infernal Legion presists even when the support gem is removed

Using Skitterbots with Inferno legion. Does not seem to do any burning damage so removed the support gem but the Skitterbots still has the "on fire" animation.

Can't tell if they retained the burning damage as they never showed any such ability even when the support gem was linked.

Update:
The tooltips suggests that the effect was removed, so it's the animation that lingers it seems.
