3.27 How do I recover my Spectres?

How do I recover my spectes in 3.27.

Read about orbed spectres which is suppose to keep from losing spectres?

I upgraded my helm which was holding my raise spectre gem.

I was in my Hideout ... but then discovered that I no longer had any spectres when I put my raise spectre (and other) gems into my upgraded helm.

I had previously purchased corpses and was using the purchased raised spectres.

I did take out my bone offering gem before switching my gems back into helm


Would appreciate any assistance and/or information. Thanks
