Why does the xbox version crash SOOO MUCH!?!

I've played on the PC version for years & we have our fair share of crashes, but on the whole I can generally enjoy an evening of playing without too much fuss.

Fast forward to this season, my friends talk me into buying one of the new xbox's to play poe with them on (since pc and xbox cant crossplay boo!) & so I shelled out hundreds of dollars on a new xbox & this game crashes constantly.

if it's not me, its my friend, or both of us.

On the pc there is a plethora of settings to adjust to help smooth issues out, but on the console there is nothing that I can see that can help. I'm just stuck with a game that randomly crashes whenever it feels like it.

Like is this common? cause I saw a bunch of people complaining about crashing in global chat in game today. So I know its not just us.

Why is the performance so bad?

is there anything that be done about it from our end?

are the staff working on improvements atm?

Just feels bad to shell out so much money for a brand new console to play a almost 20 year old game on and the game runs so poorly, that we can't stop crashing long enough to finish a map.

I tried to contact support via email with the verify code in game & I just got this canned response:
