NPC Option to Delete Unique Items for 1 Chaos Orb !!!
|
The possibility to delete unique items only at an NPC for 1 Chaos Orb would be important for the health of the trade system. Currently, many uniques are listed for less than 1 chaos, cluttering the market with irrelevant offers and making searches harder. A small cost to remove these uniques would help reduce trade pollution, encourage more thoughtful listings, and make trading cleaner and more efficient.

What are you talking about?
1. If you want to remove them, you could just purchase them for the price (less than 1 chaos orb, by your own statement) 2. There is a search filter option for minimum cost. Just set it to 2 chaos, or whatever value you like. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

What makes the offers irrelevant?
If you're looking for a well-rolled unique, you can set stat filters in the search itself to limit the results to better rolls, or click on an entry on a result to sort by that result--for example, you could click the "DPS" derived stat at the bottom of a result to sort results by DPS, or you could click the "Increased effect of Chilled Ground" line so that results are sorted by that modifier's roll. |

if your problem is that the game is saturated with trash uniques then the solution is not a "delete" but to add a proper item sink
|
|
" They did add an item sink. Rog disenchant in Kingsmarch. Obviously not worth your time to put in every unique, but exponentially more uniques are being shown on filter and picked up for dust than prior to his introduction. There is even dust unique section in all neversink filter presets. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

" when it comes to item sink ROG makes for a poor option becouse its gated behind kingsmarch and disenchanting trash uniques is not very efficient. POE needs a simple and accesible item sink like an upgrade system say: 5 x given unique = same unique v2 5 x unique v2 = same unique v3 5 x unique v3 = same unique v4 5 x unique v4 = same unique final each upgrade from v2 to v4 will either improve the base item or one of its modifiers with the final upgrade being the introduction of a powerfull new modifier. example: gorebreaker
Spoiler
V2 same mods but base will go from Spiked Club to Barbed Club v3 will use Tenderizer as base v4 10-20% reduced Enemy Stun Threshold -> 25-35% reduced Enemy Stun Threshold final adds a new mod like stunned enemys explode on death dealing phys damage over a large area. Doedre's Tenure
Spoiler
v2 INT gain increased v3 increased spell damage mod from 100% to 125% v4 increased spell damage mod from 125% to 150% final new mod: increase and reduction to cast speed instead apply more spell damage at a % of its value to non triggered spells. didnt put much thought into numbers and mods but the point is to create okish uniques up to v4 with the final version being very strong. Since final versions require 625 of the same unique This will create a huge demand draining the supply and with it giving them value. Last edited by Iamterribleatnames#6579 on Jan 9, 2026, 6:21:00 PM

" Thank god this isn't how it works. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
|
|
" whats the big problem of an upgrade path? The whole issue here is the game being flooded with uniques no one wants to use be either becouse they are low lv or they are plain bad. an upgrade path solves both problems by creating better uniques while draining the trash ones. |
|
" Because it completely breaks the item economy. Any seasoned player or person with enough common sense would see that. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

NPCs already delete your unwanted uniques for a currency handout.
Usually for somewhere in the range of half an alch and an alt. System already implemented as described, lock thread and move on ;) |
