PoE 2 Code Redeemed and linked with Steam but can't actually play the game

Good Day,

Yesterday I claimed a key that was given to me by a friend and when I claimed it, it asked me to log into an account and I used my steam account (This being the account I played PoE 1 on), now I have installed the full PoE 2 game but now I can't log in because it says that I don't have an account.

Also the game is not showing in my steam library even though I linked the game to my steam account.

Note - When I redeemed the key, it said that I was about to redeem the following keys - mentioned a PoE 2 steam key, PoE 2 Epic Games key and then something else that I cant rememeber.

So could someone please advise on how I go forward with actually getting the game to run and use my account?
