Why no confirmation for kingsmarch boat ransom?

tilted over this right now I guess fitting end to my league lol but ouhghh this just feels so bad

grind out my 50m shipment, really excited to see what I get, come back in 2h and it's commandeered. Ok I'm not at all scared of the boss but I don't want to even consider to risk losing my big shipment to a DC or something out of my control so I think "well just pay the 50k ransom don't even deal with it"

you probably already know but yeah I found out the hard way here that also loses your *entire* shipment, by pressing a single button (controller scrub) that's got an entire one word description, "ransom", no take backs no confirms.

Feel free to tell me how I probably have some kind of prion disease for not understanding this very obvious mechanic. or that I'm a divless loser for caring about one shipment. but I feel so done right now, what a kick in the crotch

This comes up regularly in the feedback forum, so it's something that GGG should absolutely address. Especially for 50M shipments the player experience is certainly pushing towards rage quit level.

I think the wording of the dialog already makes it clear that you'll lose the shipment if you pay the ransom, but it should be emphasised even more, because of the potential stakes from very large shipments.

A warning wouldn't hurt. I will say though the bosses are pretty easy.

The EXACT SAME FUCKING thing happened to me.

No warning that I'd lose my cargo. 1 week of work, patience and effort loss to a stupid dice roll.

Seriously, I do not know why people thinks POE 1 > POE 2. It is NOT!

POE 1 is utter trash. Every mechanic sucks: the farm resumes you mindless grinding the SAME FREAKING MAP 1000x in a row, doing stuff at lightning speed, so you can get "divs/h" equal to some random measure.

Not a single divine in 50 maps. Not one divination card worth of my time. Not nothing. Only you collecting hundreds of trash on the ground like a beggar to later spend 4h on that currency exchange to make some pebbles.

And every fucking shit you feel like you are just over-gambling something.

I really hope POE 2 "vision" stays the hell away from this garbage.

I'm done here, and don't think I'll come back to another try.
