Allow party modifiers to anyone
|
Many apsects of the economy are tainted by the fact that party play is the optimal way to get good loot. This is particularly true of boss invitations, but it is relevant for any content that is sufficiently rewarding to be worthwhile to powerful parties. Any such content has its price driven up to the point that solo players are rewarded more for selling it than playing it, regardless of how hard they can scale the content in the current rules of the game.
I suggest the following: Any party, including a solo player, can scale up the party modifiers (bonuses and penalties) to the modifiers of a larger party size. For example, I am a solo player but I would like the option to play the game at the 6 player difficulty and reward level. My guess is that this would have a positive impact on the economy and the game. In particular, sufficiently powerful solo players would not have to worry about the negative implications of running the expensive content they drop instead of selling it. This would also give players further incentive to scale their builds harder. Last bumped on Dec 3, 2025, 6:50:40 PM

No upside without downside. If this is implemented, you’ll probably only have 1 porta per map, high risk high reward.

Yes, you would definitely only get 1 portal, as thats what a party has to deal with.
You should also the lag associated with party play lol. GGG isnt going to do this, so the point is moot. The available alternative, is to achieve higher rarity/quant through scarabs and map rolls. (which was obviously recently nerfed) “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”
