I wish i could play that again...

Everyone of us has that one unique Build we played once or twice in the last years and we absolutely loved it... Till GGG nerfed it so deeply into the Abyss that no-one can play it again without putting Mirrors over Mirrors into the gear to play it for like a week till the next league starts.

Lets talk about those Builds. What was it for you? And why does it got nerfed? Maybe someone from GGG reads this and thinks about it.

Let me start:

For me, The Build i loved the most was the Old "Ice Golemancer"
Wich League: Blight - Metamorph

Facts
Mapping: 4/5
It wasnt fast as some Zoomy Bow Builds that you can see on Twitch, but it was smooth.

Bossing: 4/5
It never dealt so much damage like Spectres or other Minion Builds. But it was always enough to get a smooth experience on Booses like, Elder, Shaper or Sirus.
And im not talking about Uber Bosses.

Survivability: 2/5
Since the Build was made like a walking simulator it never reached the same Potential like Pohx RF. You had to dodge every hard hit. There was no Facetanking on Bosses or something.


What happend?

I believe it was Metamorph... A Build went public where Golems where extremely used for their strong Buffs to skyrocket other Builds into the Air. After that. GGG decides to Nerf Golems. But not only the Buffs... also their Damage and Life... And that in a Way wich destroyed the Build completely. If you wanne play the Build now, without investing a couple 100 Divine into it normal t16 Map Bosses change into Uber fights by the Time you need to kill them while dodging every attack they do.

Since then i follow poe Ninja Builds. The Build is dead, When it goes near the end of the League, some Fire Golemancer Builds pop up... With Mageblood or Squire or similar expensive Uniques. Wich in my Eyes the only way is to make this builds work again to deal with the Nerfs Golems got because of other Builds. But as a League starter, its impossible to work with.


So that was my Build i loved to play and i miss the most. What was it for you?

Old Seismic Trap Sabo and the old Cold Dot *insert whatever ascendancy you prefered, Trickster, Ele, maybe Occu...*

what happened, i dunno, meta shift, build to strong for no investment at all...

For me, the fun part is not trading much and just going for 4 voidstones with less than 1 div investment. But those builds get nerfed sooner or later, hehehe

I like those builds that don't really scale that much in endgame but are just rock solid in the beginning with very little investment and just get all their power from the passive tree and those two are among the goats in that category.

They should have nerfed tornado shot first back then, but nah ;P
