Hive Fortress wall was truly incomprehensible

It's great that wall-breaking skills were added in 3.27.0d, but then why did they add walls in 3.27.0c?
Adding such an element that is nothing but unpleasant via a post-launch patch is clearly bound to draw backlash from most Path of Exile players.
(Had it been implemented at launch, it might have been understandable.)

Despite that, the fact that GGG deliberately added walls in 3.27.0c suggests they had some strong intention behind implementing them. Yet, before much time had passed, a skill to destroy walls was hastily added in 3.27.0d. I genuinely cannot understand this sequence of events. Did they implement the wall thinking it would make the game more interesting, only to be completely overwhelmed by the backlash? If so, it seems their sensibilities are way out of sync with the majority of PoE players.

If things continue like this, both Poe1 and Poe2 will likely keep repeating the same mistakes.
GGG needs to recognize a bit more what players are actually seeking. Instead of implementing elements that torment players, they should focus more on providing things players genuinely enjoy. Please.

If I may add one more thing, When walls were added in 3.27.0c, I lost all motivation to play this season. Even with the wall-breaking skill added in 3.27.0d, that motivation isn't coming back now.
It was truly disappointing.

Lemme guess, people were complaining at the start that it was overwhelming that the monsters swarm from everyside, not every build was strong enough to deal with that in the early. Now they are stronger, they complain that it’s taking too long to do it cuz monsters get bottlenecked at the wall, perhaps amount of monsters killed speed up the process? So GGG yield to them again and this is what we have.
Just my projection, nothing to back these asumption.
I see it as giving the players more options. Some like the mobs getting funnelled, some like massive swarms coming at them. Now you can choose how to handle the encounter in a way that best suits your own build.
