This is not a hate thread its a critical Opinion about the state of the game.
Map scaling and Map mods. I do Find it very interesting that you guys are still Overlapping certain map mods with each other. The ability that T17 bosses scale 1:1 with your map mods its so absurd. Certain abilities can hit about 4-5x as hard. It becomes very strange sometimes. You can literally calculate dmg spikes Manually. And see how much defense you actually need. Yes most thing can be dodged. But if your map has "onslaught" with 60% increase speed modifiers. You can't even dodge certain mechanics(And I'm pretty sure that the Cast Animation is 60% faster as well). Those are designed to "run out" but you have about 0.5s if not even fewer time. I Feel like T17 bosses shouldn't Scale 1:1 there needs to be at least for some Mods(Especially Crit) a downscaling for bosses. OR just Buff them and balance them around None T17 map mods. Like a Uber Boss. Scale them instead of RND buffing with Map mods. They become way way harder then Uber bosses. (and its not even close) Boss healing and Consecrated Ground are another thing. I running pantheon with hits apply 50% life regeneration reduction or something. But Even then. you need about 2x-3x as much more dps just to get through its health pool. Like Poe characters don't magically do like 3x as much dps. And i don't wanna talk about Maven healing she literally cast spams here vilitaly boon. T17 Mods literally made the game unenjoyable for most Old School players. There are after 1.5y of implementation still very very underwhelming. And made me quit the league early many times. There are the reason why i don't feel like spending money for supporter packs. T17 map rolling and finding them. First of all. I'm a guy who likes to farm his T17 Maps solo, because you have to pay a pretty penny just to see that Content. But that's just me. I wanted to farm fortress for myself. But doing so it took me 5h of farming Dunes (bloodlines, Risk, Linage, Escalation, with settlers magic blue packs) This might just be bad luck but i had to run about 70 dunes maps with a very high Investment. just have like 10 fortresses.(loot scarcity hit hard for t17) Rolling them afterwards was an absolute Nightmare. I spend a lot of divines just to find them and then you need to roll them... The loot scarcity has hit its all-time peak right now right now. So rolling your T17 properly takes a while and is very expensive. Its Mind-blowing that we still have to roll our T17 with Chaos orbs. Old League Mechanic overhaul and new Content. So for me personally I'm not against Overhauls as long they come with a new type of content as well. But only having a Old league overhaul isn't gonna be enough for experienced players to Login again. Its lazy! where are your IDEAS?. You had such good league ideas in the past. Keep in mind if you overhaul a old Mechanic, you delete there endgame strategies as well. And I freaking loved Old Breach. It was one of the best leagues i have ever played. But whatever. For my Standpoint yes overhauling old leagues mechanics can be good as long we see new Content on top as well. Overhauls needs to come with a new type of League Mechanic as well. New Breach overhaul didn't made it for me. Its basically 3 simple encounters with rarely good loot at the end. The tree is good but only for self-found People. lets say 29/30 times i literally got nothing from the Tree.(which supposed to be the new Interesting thing, the NEW CONTENT) We need more. Scarabs Nerfing and Endgame Strategies nerfing. I don't mind nerfing certain things that are overpowered and fill up the economy. BUT. By only nerfing those strategies you delete that content as well(at least for most players). New players they don't know what history gave us. But experienced players look for New Stuff to Explore. You only Nerfed this season so there was actually nothing new to explore. If you see how ppl trying to find fun again with legion Ghosting you realize. The Fun the gone. The Part that makes this game so Addicting are endgame strategies. People play for 2 month straight if the League is good. its about Fun dopamine knowing something can drop. The addicting Part is gone. It made POE a great game (prolly the greatest RPG EVER). but not anymore. I rather see underwhelming Side content get buff instead only NERFING THE TOP END. Yes some things needs to Addressed but in someway you don't just straight up deleting that Type of content out of the warecleast. Now we have just a bunch of midrange strategies that barley make any profits. Because everything else is just way to expensive even the smallest things. (I'm pretty sure you readjusted the boss loot as well) that's just another topping.... Reward vs Risk. With all the Loot gone and all the Strategies nerfed. there is still a very high Risk on maps. Yes we do get less mod scaling. If you wanna find at least "something" on your maps you literally have to increase the Risk factor a lot. Sometimes you get EZ rewarding maps but most of the time you running high Damage mods and very tanky modifiers. Just to get at least some returns. The Risk needs to be balanced. What's the reason for high Risk if you still cant fight anything worthy. The Risk is too high for the rewards you actually getting its disappointing lets say it like this. Season Cycle The season cycle now is very tight. With POE 2 and POE 1 in development at the same time. I don't know how you handle it but. For me as a Consumer. I feel like you rushing things to fast you have very little time for development. Guess that's the reason why you said "mercenaries are on Hold for now" you don't have time. And we see it in the quality of Content you deliver. Its Rushed with bad Ideas. Oh lets just make a Overhaul this season seems lazy. The fact that you didn't have all Foulborn Uniques on release speaks it language. I rather have a Patch that is well though trough. Something that is interesting and not just a RND League Overhaul. Take your time. For development so we have a game worthy of calling it PATH OF EXILE. I'm sorry. but I'm Disappointed this season. Last bumped on Nov 18, 2025, 9:06:03 AM

But this league the pushback from the players and especially streamers seem to be very mild and GGG response (the laughable loot 'buff' patch) shows that their target audience is shifting elsewhere. Or simply POE1 became an afterthought to them. Breach rework is a big downgrade in depth and quality. The endgame farming is gone. GGG desroyed all top strategies without offering anything in return. Top stramers are looking for good endgame strats and doing buggy legion ghosting or gamble house of mirrors. If that is how GGG wants poe1 to be represented by top streamers its thier sad choice.
