Maven BS infinite memory game.

Ok I've done this fight in a previous league. I was under the impression you only had to clear the stupid memory game a set number of times. Now, I keep getting to the final phase, and she constantly keeps spammming it. I take like a quarter of her health or less ans she just keeps repeating it.
I cant even see it with everything else and the lasers.
Oh and then I spawn back into the arena and everytime it spawns me into the lasers so I cant heal and half my healths gone.
You cant be fucking serious with this BS! Short of one shotting her how am I supposed to complete it when she just keeps forcing the memory game?
Oh and have to waste money on an Invitation every time or spend hours grinding for fragments...
Done. Uninstall. Cant beat something that's cheating.

If you are taking that long, then yes it repeats. It is on a 60 second rotation with her other skills. Most bosses work this way.

But also, most bosses don't take that long to take down. A 5-minute maven fight is a VERY LONG fight for a boss like that.

some people have weaker builds/gear. they take longer and get punished for being weak.

permanent degen pools are all punishment for the weak. i see them more as punishment rather than challenge.

if you're strong, they wont accumulate too much and the boss will be downed soon enough. but if you're weak it just gets increasingly difficult with no recourse expect killing the boss.

Memory game always felt out of place. Its more like an MMO raid boss mechanic meant to be done by multiple players cooperating, rather than someone alone trying to memorize these patterns while fighting a boss. Maven just sucks, its why I always just buy the voidstone every league for like 40c. Can't be bothered farming 10 splinters then doing this sucky fight.

Maybe if we get another endgame rework Maven will become optional and no longer be part of the questline for Voidstones. Would be nice.

What able bodied grown up with at least average intelligence can't remember a pattern of less than half a dozen points of a 3 part pattern for 10 seconds?

A game requiring you to actually accomplish something other than spam right click.

I have to cheese memory game by standing on the first pattern, and even then I struggle memorizing more than like 4 things in a row. I dunno what to say, not every person memorizes stuff perfectly and in the exact same way. I personally hate the memory game, it stresses me out WAY too much during the fight cus 1 little mistake and you're insta-dead and then she can instantly do another memory game when you re-enter.

For more context, on my last run I did the fight perfectly. Had all portals available by the final phase. I can do the memory game fine until the lasers part.
For some reason, in that final phase with the lasers, I cant even see the flashes at all.
I'm only hitting her 2 or three times before she repeats the memory game. Also I went and nearly doubled my Dps with a stupid expensive weapon upgrade so damage is much better and she just keeps repeating it.

perhaps, what you're experiencing is staggered memory games.

part of a boss's moveset sometimes are threshold attacks. where the enemy performs a specific move when reaching a certain health threshold.

in your case perhaps you burst her so quick that she "owes" you a few memory games that would have probably been delayed by a bit if you had les damage.

its just a theory a maaaaaaaaaaaven theory
