complete graphical desync on completing defence in a memory influenced hive fortress

After completing the 24th wave my screen simply stopped updating the game interface and accepting character actions, I could access menus but I could not issue orders to my character or see any actions being taken, this resulted in a hive fortress that should have been trivial failing and losing experience that should not have been lost.
