Helical Ring bug?

Open prefix and suffix. Suffix cannot be changed. Veiled chaos orb. Unveiled mana and mana regen.

When I looked at my item after it filled the empty suffix and added the incorrect veiled mod on top of it. Bricked my item. Wish I was a streamer with a vod to show it replay.

Am I missing something?
