Is Scold's bridle bugged?

Hi I tried using Scold's bridle for cwdt, I don't have blood magic or lifetap support link to the skill, skill cast have reduce mana, but i didn't receive any damage for it, I have tried with manabond with 3 support skills it cost me 10% of mana but still no damage received(tested using molten shell and the graft skill heart of flame it didnt reduce the buff amount after cast), and I have try using other skill cost mana it is not working too.

Ah I figured it out, it is because i have eldritch battery, it is spending ES not spending mana, so it didn't work. I remove eldritch battery and it works.
