Bug: Atzoatl Map Device does not show remaining portals after consuming 1 portal

Upon opening a new map, entering, and returning it shows that no portals remain. It still tries to rotate the portal ring, and otherwise functions normally. Looks like red/blood indicator visual after 1st portal is what's bugged.
