Crashing.. vk:Device::waitForFences: Error Device Lost

Hello,

This game doesn't seems to like that I use my iGPU of my CPU.

Can you guys try to fix this... ?


I tried to force the PathOfExileSteam.exe on my dedicated GPU, but no luck... The game crash after some times ...

As an option, you can keep the GPU under some kind of load so that it doesn’t turn off even when the game isn’t running. I had it set up like that before, but now it’s gone for some reason (I made some changes to slow down battery drain on the laptop and forgot how to put it back...). I monitor the load through HWinfo, since the native Nvidia monitor doesn’t always work correctly and may not show the load even when it’s actually there.

My option was to set MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner to run on the dedicated GPU (through the Nvidia driver and Windows “Graphic Settings”).

There may be other methods. Anyway, I hope this helps someone.

Find a way to let people use their iGPU while playing the game on their GPU please.


(I will explain why I have my iGPU on for people that want to know :

When I'm playing, I've always youtube on the side, and the game is taking a LOT of ressources on my GPU (4070), so the Youtube videos are slowing down a lot while mapping, so I've forced my search engine(Firefox) to run on my iGPU, and no more problem now, I've even more ressources for my GPU, except now I crash because this game have issue with this....)

I will try to update and BUMP this thread a LOT, so expect a lot of message by me, just trying to bump the thread to let the dev AWARE of this issue.

If any dev want me to do some action to test things, I'm up, I will have this post on favorite so I can check every -or so days.
