Game freezes when loading my character into the game.

The problem occurred when I killed Kitava in Act 10 - went to the NPC back at town and clicked "travel to <whatever the area is where you get to maps" - it started loading there (never fully loaded me into that zone where you do the quest to get the MAP portal thing.

I have tried to update drivers, I've changed every video setting known to man, turned everything down to LOW or Medium, Tried Vulkan, tried DX11, and DX12 - nothing is working - it FREEZES / Locks up the application and I have to click close application after that pin wheel comes up. I even tried to create a new character thinking it was the physical area that it was trying to load that was bugged.

PLEASE HELP ! I just got to maps on a hardcore character and now I can't even log into my character. So disappointed.
