Rubberbanding issue - Always Attack Without Moving
|
I’ve had issues with rubber banding in Path of Exile 1 for years — movement around maps always felt off. Today, while looking for possible fixes, I found people describing similar problems in PoE2 related to the “Always Attack Without Moving” option.
I’ve always enabled that option because I didn’t want my character to move while attacking. But from what I’ve observed, it might actually cause movement desync. If your attack speed or cast speed is high enough that you can cancel the animation early, the server seems to still wait for the full attack or cast duration. As a result, the client shows your character moving while the server still thinks you’re stationary, leading the server to “correct” your position — which looks like rubber banding. After testing this extensively, I suspect that many players might not realize that their choppy movement could be caused by this setting. A potential fix would be to make the server’s position validation more forgiving in these cases. And I don't know, maybe it's intended this way, anyway Thanks On Probation Any% Last edited by Dxt44#4050 on Nov 12, 2025, 4:50:43 PM Last bumped on Nov 12, 2025, 4:48:04 PM
