Elementalist Shaper of Flames no longer functions defensively

Recent changes to enemy elemental conversion means that at 75% fire resistance and 0 armor, the damage you take will be the same compared to without Shaper of Flames. This ascendancy node has lost all defensive value.

If anything reduces your maximum fire resistance, then having Shaper of Flames will increase the damage you take.

If you have any armor, then having Shaper of Flames will increase the damage you take.

This is really deceiving, you would think having 0 armour and convert 70 (with shaper of flame and the pyroshock belt) on capped resistances would get you a good defense against phys... I really hope it gets changed
