Atlas Node "Loved By The Sun" is allocated, yet Abyss scarab dropped

I guess there is no template for this. I apologize if I missed it.

1. Yes, it was in a vaal side area that was CONTAINED IN A MAP.
2. The scarab is indeed an abyss scarab, bug report #890717891
3. If this is somehow invalid, then it needs to be made more clear for people as regarded as me that the atlas tree only applies to things that happen in the base map

A Vaal side area is not the map. This isn't a bug.

Also worth noting that the notables do not work for various scarab reward icons even when in-map. I gave up trying to memorize the sources, but you will likely see abyss scarab again in-map depending on what content you're farming.
