Game crashed when friend starts ritual

Im leeching exp of a buddy, im staying out of bounds of the ritual (some distance away from the one starting it).

When my friend starts the ritual, my game crashes.

I can reenter the map (even when the ritual is still going) and nothing else seems wrong.

Map is Defiled Cathedral with memory influence.
