Black Screen / "No Signal" Crash Exclusively in Path of Exile - RTX 4090

Dear Path of Exile Support Team,

I am experiencing a persistent and critical issue that occurs only when playing Path of Exile. My system runs other demanding games and stress tests without any problems.

My System Configuration:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Operating System: Windows 11

The Problem:
When I launch Path of Exile, within a few minutes of being in the game, my monitor suddenly goes black and displays "No Signal" or "Input Signal Not Found." The computer itself remains running; I can still hear audio from the game or background applications like YouTube, but the image never returns. I am forced to perform a hard reset to recover.

Troubleshooting Steps I Have Already Taken:

Reinstalled the Game: Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Path of Exile.

Reinstalled Windows: Performed a clean installation of Windows.

Updated Drivers: Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to perform a clean installation of multiple versions of NVIDIA drivers, including older ones.

Stress Testing: Ran FurMark GPU stress test for 5 minutes at 1440p resolution. The GPU performed perfectly with stable FPS, temperatures around 75°C, and no crashes. This confirms the hardware is stable under general load.

Important Observations:

This crash only happens in Path of Exile. All other applications are stable.

The problem began abruptly. The game was working perfectly on Monday, but the crashes started occurring on Tuesday.

Based on my testing, the issue appears to be specific to an interaction between Path of Exile and my system's graphics driver.

Could you please advise if this is a known issue? Are there any specific game settings, configuration file edits, or workarounds you can recommend?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Graka 3080

Friend had 1 Crash on a 3070 last 2 days.

Same as abouve all monitors went black. teamspeak still running, had to press reset.

All Temps were fine cpu/gpu
Didnt resolve the problem for me.
Today I had that crash by starting poe. Had the driver from 30.10.2025 will not try the 04.11.2025.
I’m having the same issue in POE2 since 0.1.
Setup: X3D CPU + RTX 5070.

During the crash the GPU Memory Controller drops from 14 to 0, GPU core load falls from ~67% to 1–2%, while core temperature stays around 60°C.

This happens across different GPU drivers, different CPUs, and even different OS versions (Windows 10 / 11).

It always fixes itself if I keep trying to play, but in my case it still causes a full reboot 2–3 times before it stabilizes.

I'd recommend checking all of the posts and replies within this Reddit thread by m_w_h or Nestledrink that pertain to the 5000 series cards and odd interactions with HDMI/DP connections and various Windows or monitor settings that could be causing weird issues.

If nothing there seems to help your situation, then posting a new comment referencing the specific issue you're experiencing might get a reply from one of them to point you in the right direction.
