Itemized spectres do not resummon or create corpse

In moment of reverence, dropped bonemeld. took off my amulet so i could see how low it would make my resistances, causing me to not have dex requirements for my helm (where spectres are slotted).

no corpse created (normal for in a map zone). going back to hideout, my spectres did not respawn. tried going to epilogue but still did not respawn. no corpse available. they are gone gone

Perfect turtle and perfect forest warrior are the spectres that poofed on me
Edit - Nov 7: It wasn't clear to me from the patch notes, but 3.27 did intend for the new respawn behaviour to apply to itemized spectres, according to Mark's spectre improvement teaser video.

Sorry for asserting outdated information. They shouldn't be lost on death in 3.27, either.

From several reports, there do appear to be issues with itemized corpse spectres being lost. I have to wonder if this is a consequence of them possibly changing the old protection behaviour under the assumption that the new implementation would protect them (but I am just speculating).

-----

This is (was before 3.27.0) the designed behaviour for this type of spectre.

edit: I should acknowledge that what you are describing is a lack of "loss-protection" from your spectre gem being deactivated or effectively "unsocketed," where it wasn't dropped on the ground like it sometimes would be. This has often had problems in some situations.
While it may have nothing to do with your case, also be careful if you have any automated skills that can consume corpses, as they may destroy the itemized corpse right after it falls on the ground.

Not all spectres are the same. You now have both normal spectres that you obtain from slain enemies and special spectre types that you obtain from "corpse item" currencies (now from Ritual, originally introduced in Affliction league 3.23).

These itemized corpses/spectres are specifically prevented from being re-summoned after death and cannot be added to your "spectre bank" or spawned with Desecrate.

Unfortunately there are unexpected ways that your spectres can end up being de-summoned, in which case the itemized spectre will be lost and must be re-obtained.

i had assumed death and unsummon was the same thing. I also assumed that the corpse item spectre would follow the new respawn mechanic from 3.27.

normally, the corpse spectres if you unsummon should have their corpse dropped on the ground, not get destroyed. in this case, the corpses did not drop.

As i do not have any automated spells, and the only action i took was removing an amulet, my offering would not have consumed anything.

These spectres used to drop on the ground in my hideout, they now just disappear entirely if I move my gear around.
