Cartography scarab of corruption is affecting T17 maps

Cartography scarab of corruption is corrupting T17's to be 8 mod.

Title basically. Anyone who has farmed 8 mods before knows it never corrupted t17s. All resources online report that it does not affect T17 maps. I checked for patch notes to see if it was changed since last league. Nothing of the sort was found. So I assume this is a bug.

This is an issue because running a map strat to farm 8mods and t17s is now less lucrative by a large margin. Corrupted t17s often don't sell at all, and if they do you sell them 1 at a time and generally for less.

can confirm this is happening to me as well. just raw t17 fortress dropping (not from boxes, which was the only way I knew how to force them to drop corrupted prior to this league) corrupted as a result of cartography scarab of corruption in map device.

The wording on that implies something else entirely. As carto scarab of corruption ALWAYS corrupts them 8 mod. I would expect them to be specific with regards to scarab changes. Part of me thinks you are right though and that this was just a really poorly worded documentation. Would be nice to get some confirmation.

Bumping as well. Not sure if it's intended or not but it makes map farming a lot more painful.
