Strongboxes using controller cant use currency to upgrade (PC)

I play with a controller on steam, and this league whenever I go to a strongbox and press Y to use currency it won't pop up the little menu below so like I can't identify the strongbox or activate currency to upgrade said box, I have used two different controllers and the problem exists with both controllers.

I am on PS5 and cant use Currency on Strongboxes as well. The TRIANGLE Use Currency button is there, but when you click it, nothing happens. I have the currency, scroll wisdom, but doesnt work at all.

Maybe an Hold X thing like POE 2 might work here better???

I’m having same issue. Switched last season to controller and was flawless. Now triangle button not working to add currency.

Posting to give some traction. I as well cannot apply currency to strongboxes.. Please fix!!!

Same here I can't use currency when I press "Y" on PC with X-Box controller.

I was just about to post this again for the second time myself! It worked fine in merc league, there is no reason to not have addressed it!

This is after the recent patch btw which somehow supposedly fixed using Vaal orbs on essences. How would this not be working now!?

bumping because controller is the main way i can enjoy poe1 and poe2. First time really going though campaign on poe1 and know it will be helpful later if this gets adressed.
