Milan good, Frankfurt bad

Always has been.
I live in the middle of Germany, and Milan is the best gate for me. Lowest ping, stable connection. Frankfurt has a ~50 % higher ping and is very unstable (constant connection spikes).
This has been the case for as long as I can remember. What is happening in Frankfurt, seriously.

Yeah, you are right. I live in northern Germany and have crazy issues with Frankfurt, too. The lag-spikes make the game unplayable in the evening. Stutter almost all of the time and spikes up to several seconds including DCs. Let me guess: You are also a telekom-customer?

Tbh, even Texas and Washington worked fine for me playing PoE1, though being around 100ms.

In PoE2 I can almost only play on Milan in the evenings. :(

I live in Ireland, and typically play on either Amsterdam or Frankfurt because I find those two the best. London often seems... 'troubled'. I've never really tried Milan iirc.

Sadly, Germany is way behind regarding good connections. I think it is mostly a routing problem. Even though Frankfurt should be the best gateway for us, simply because it is the closest our network-traffic might go all the way to Narnia and back before reaching the servers in Frankfurt during peak traffic times.

A friend of mine had a similar problem with another German provider playing FFXIV-Online. She was only able to play without issues using a VPN-service in the evenings until she moved and got a new ISP. It is a shame.
