Can't apply currency to strongbox with pc controller. Used to work fine before patch

Using a Nintendo switch controller with steam. Has worked fine until keepers Patch, now I need to use a mouse to apply it and continue on with the controller.

Same issue, on PS5. Holding X does not work, immediately opens strongbox on initial press regardless of holding button down. Triangle does not do anything.

The bug survived the patch, still doesn't work
PS. There's no way of applying currency to strongbox via controller at all - you can't do it from inventory, you can't do it with Y/triangle.
