Trickster emergent fix - statistics included

I really don't understand why trickster got this hard nerf instead of actually focusing on the real problem?
It's 8th pos on the popularity if you had just nerfed EE and EB. This is the latest snapshot ![]() In late league trickster do become a little bit more popular because people can afford to min/max with mirror-gear. However, if we look at week 2, then trickster is not popular at all, it's at pos 10. If we enable EE and EB it'll only climb to pos 7. ![]() With this facts on hand it really makes me question. Who decided nerfing trickster as a whole was a great idea? Please, do ask the person to provide their reasoning, I want to understand. Some quick notes on some oversights in your data points.
1. you have low character levels included in your snapshots. Levels 70-90 are not very indicative of finished builds and should be excluded when representing data of end-game choices. 2. EE/EB is the current meta choices, but that doesnt mean that nerfing them fixes anything, the next best thing would just be used in their place on same builds. (I'm not arguing either way for the nerfs, just that your data points misrepresent your case) “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

" As you can see, even with only high levels Trickster still isn't as popular as it seems. ![]() Looking at week 2 I don't even need to "block" EB and EE, it's clear it's unwanted. ![]() Tbh nerfing EE should be enough. The reason it's so crazy is because you're stacking defense to get offense. Nerf EE and the problem will no longer be there. Either way, fact remains that it was a bad idea to nerf trickster when trickster itself isn't the problem. |

Trickster DEFINITELY was and still is a problem.
Trickster's strenghts are: - Action speed reduction protection (limitation after the nerf) - THE key to any 3.26 serious farmin - ES overleech (not nerfed) - being compatible with ES meta (INT stacking, EB, EE) meaning it 'clicks' with pretty much every playstyle and archetype - clear build progression via ES/EV ascendancy. Tricksters work on any budget level, unlike armour stackers that require certain threshold to even work - absurdly easy Suppression cap (nerfed, along with general SS nerf so far less impactful in general) the nerfs GGG made are noticeable (20% cast speed was something, being always zoomier than base was amazing) but the core of why Trickster is so great (pre and post nerf) was hardly changed and the ES/CI situation remains completely unchanged making ES classes clearly superior to alternatives if trickster can be played with wands (most likely) they will still sit in top 3 the nerfs were slight taps, noticeable, but trickster is still THE ES class to pick (and assassin is still a 'class with potential' aka i'll let others use that junk) |

Also when looking at that data when you see berserker vfos, that wont exist like that this league either as it was nerfed. Also the crit per exert helmet wont exist either afaik so that build for sc was gutted incredibly. Just losing the crit/exert helmet would kill it for a lot of peoples standards of dps for endgame. Idk why the skill itself needed nerfed.
Rf will always be played because of people that are lazy or have physical hand disabilities and/or slow reflexes. The real tragedy (which i dont personally care about but it makes me laugh) is the bama nerf. Thats an, ehhhh i dont think we want people playing that this league, kind of nerf. Not even an attempt to balance it as far as my melee playing brain can tell. Last edited by Ayelen_GGG#0000 on Oct 29, 2025, 6:29:07 PM
