not really a great fan of 'per character' bloodlines, esp given how niche they are

so we got all bloodlines, their power is a topic of another debate, wont go into it (albeit im 'whelmed')

problem i have with them is the acquisition: per character, from end-game bosses, from mostly RANDOM or gimmicky bosses

- playing character A to respec to character B sucks as a concept.
- pretty much being forced to BUY a key to the fight or straight out carry sucks even more

Lycia - it is unobtainable by majority of the regular players due to how polarising this content is. on a non farmer, but still STRONG character (high spike damage) it might take like 30 minutes per attempt - this will make people freak out if they manage to get to Lycia and she bursts them for the fourth time in the row because they have no practice in that fight.

Delirium - you need at least a mini Chad character to clear 15 waves.

Farrul, Oshabi - random, so random and rare that it might take days to find them if unlucky. buying keys sucks.

Orloth - random and while key exist, logbooks with him are always expensive, much better to farm regular ones and 'be lucky'. wonder if T17 counts (but ascendancy gated by T17 is kinda meh concept in its own way)

Catarina, Ritual - probably the easiest to find, still random. there will be flourishing market given these have other uses.

Aul - getting to ~150-200 in delve takes some time. i do not know if you even can get carry if your mine is not deep enough, never tried that.

Trialmaster - scarab. the issue might be actually getting to the fight (surviving 10 waves is trivial on block builds and very exciting on evasion based archer). rarity depends on the scarab drop rate, without it you will not see Trialmaster in days

i somehow understand creating an incentive for people to check other content, but making the optimal acquisition method straight out buying kinda doesnt resonate well with me. and if you need that particular ascendancy to START your build (Lycia's Herald, Trialmaster Vaal skill), then you are outright forced to respec after, this one is real bummer

luckily, most of the ascendancies are REALLY niche and wont be desired by general population, but still - the problem remains and i consider this choice something worth re-thinking. the novelty of it will wear out quickly, the tedium will replace it

Bloodlines were clearly designed as end-game alternatives, having them available right off the bat for a build is definitely not intended.

I don't see a problem with this being a slight buff to boss carry economy, they certainly could use.

That being said, none of these REQUIRE a carry. The intent of the design is clearly for you to build a good, working, character, and then transition into something else when you are able to acquire the bloodline.
