Asynchronous trade requires MTX and other questions?
| It wasn't clear in the content reveal or patch notes that in order to use the touted Asynchronous trade we need to purchase something (from the framing I had thought it was being added as a base part of the game, given that it is being portrayed as a core mechanic), is this correct and there is no base asynchronous tab (like there are basic stash tabs)? Looking at POE2 stuff it appears there is an option to convert existing premium tabs to tabs for asynchronous trade, however if you do that then the tab is no longer usable for SSF, or can SSF players still use it and just nobody will be able to buy anything from their "shop"? | No you do not need the support pack to trade in that manner, you should only need the relevant tab upon the patch. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony#3358 on Oct 25, 2025, 2:21:41 PM | |
| " This is typically how tabs work, even existing premium tabs. You can just not make the tab public, and use it normally Starting anew....with PoE 2 | |
| " My understanding (which admittedly isn't based on personal experience since I haven't converted any tabs and wasn't enjoying PoE2 and stopped before this was introduced) was that the converted tab is no longer a tab, and the way it was shown in the 3.27 video as under Faustus led me to believe it behaves differently, if it is still accessible and just not available for others than still a bit annoying for SSF since I compulsively hoard things for builds I *might* want to play, but not the end. Not sure if the folks that have converted would have the same experience looking at the tabs now in PoE1 since it isn't supported yet though. " I think you misunderstood what I meant by purchase, unless the tabs are provided for free and I very much misunderstood what I found online, buying a tab still requires a purchase either for the premium tabs one has already gotten to convert, or for the tokens to buy MTX. | |
| I don't think that's how it works. Maybe you can access your tab via Faustus, but you should ALSO be able to access it via your stash normally. At least, this would have no precedent on any other tabs. But yes....you would likely need to buy this. Even basic "trade" tabs need to be purchased. Hey....maybe in the beginning or even for just next league, there could be a free tab as a sort of "testing ground" for GGG. Who knows? But it is VERY likely its going to be purchase-only. | " You will get the option to convert premium tabs to merchant tabs once the patch is live. They don't need to give anyone free tabs for testing, they've been using this system in PoE2 for months and it works. The merchant tabs are not available in SSF because they're, you know, merchant tabs and SSF can't trade. |
