Scams will happen with A-Sync Trade.
| So for sure A-Sync trade will have scammers. For instance bulk items or maps set a bunch to 1d and one to 100d or 1m or something like that. There is a way around this that maybe GGG could implement. A togglable popup warning are you sure you want to purchase this for this price. For some this will slow down trading but you just press Enter to confirm and hopefully it saves some people from being scammed. Last bumped on Oct 25, 2025, 1:21:47 PM | |
| No they won't...... The type of "scam" you describe is so easily avoided, even more than the usual scams we currently see in the trade system. If anything, async trade makes scams on the seller side of the equation far MORE risky than it ever was before.....which then leads to far less scammers and scams being run. That is basically the biggest PLUS of async trading that exists: a scam-free environment necessitated by the fact that anything can be snatched at any time. That said, it does run the risk of faster inflation and potentially different styles of price-fixing on rare items (probably not currency tho). Dude.....if you buy 100 maps for 1d and then fall for buying 1 map for 100d.......that is 100% YOUR fault. It's so silly that you even bring it up here before even experiencing the system in-game. That might happen to like....1 player in a million who is completely oblivious. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Oct 25, 2025, 1:12:41 PM | |
| lol you vehemently disagree i see. If a simple popup will save some people i think its a good idea. I never said that scams would be easier or harder i just said they will happen. but i appreciate your opinion. | |
| a single popup, which may already exist (you don't even know)....can cost a LOT of time. Time you could spend...you know....reading the price of the trade. If a single popup is useful for 1 out of a million people....its not worth being added to the game as a time punishment for everyone else who doesn't rush at the speed of light and not pay attention to what they are doing. And if it works anything like the existing system in PoE 2, or Faustus, or even old-school trade.....you will likely be able to "sort by price" in some fashion lol. Or it will do that automatically Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Oct 25, 2025, 1:19:58 PM | |
| Well i would hope that most people are paying attention but even to the best of us accidents happen. But it's a good thing i am not in charge of the decisions or whats added to the game. | |
| You will, for sure, see this when buying Beasts. Stay frosty, Exiles. | |
