Am i supposed to be hyped about 3.27. After reading patch notes i am not hyped at all :(

Well it will probably be a league when i play 7 days then quit. Patch notes is all nerfs. Why should i look forward to the league?

Really im curious what was their thought process when they made changes for this league.

1. Literally 100's of new ascendancy point combinations with Bloodlines, almost all of which are still unknown.

2. crazy new unique variations

3. wand rework/new skills

personally, im stoked to blast breaches just to see what crazy uniques I can birth.

The borrowed power for the 7 other ascendancies has to be something crazy.

I don't see much in the patch notes either that excites me. The boneshatter buff makes me laugh because its such an easy layup just to throw in there to say bottom left got something when there are a ton of strikes/slams that could really use some love but may require thought to balance.

The end charge with tec slam nerf is hilarious, and the vfos nerf. then a small buff to boneshatter. Thats everything i read in the patch notes. The rest is irrelevant.

1. cant get hyped when we dont know anything about them and can assume from what we have seen so far they will all be riddled with downsides.

2. don't know about the accesibility. It might be like trying to get your sst shield in crucible league.

3. whats a wand? There were no skills or supports that were red. So they effectively didnt add anything if you dont play dex/int.

For all the cool shit they showed, the Map Effect and Scarab nerfs are a wet fart that has lingered in the room since I read the patch notes.

This is two leagues in a row they've chopped a chunk off the top in regards to loot potential. I really don't understand it.

I guess they want everyone to water that tree? So, like Settlers, there's no juicing with this content. It's just gathering materials and crossing your fingers. Juicing seems like a joke on the surface now, especially considering the ridiculous Chaos Orb sink that is T17 and T16.5 map rolling. A slight increase to the number of Rare and Magic Monsters in your maps won't come close to filling that deficit.

I suppose one way to drum up interest in your new league is to make other things unappealing to do. Don't get me wrong, the new content looks great. Is that it though? What if I get tired of Breach, what can I do with my time besides that? The scarabs haven't changed and the farms are the same, the good ones are just dead now.

I can't imagine needing too crazy of a build to farm Breach and water a tree and the other content I would have engaged with is dead now...so why would I want to farm up a build? What am I going to do with it?

It's a weird decision, all the way back to when they caved to a certain streamer's community and removed IIQ gear. Weird garbage.

I feel like they're ruining the game under the hood but at least it's got cool looking updates and great QoL.
where are the patch notes that are 'all nerfs'?

hardly any build got nerfed. BAMA got hit HARD but i bet it still can work, albeit - worse, Trickster got slight slap, few absolutely dumb interactions (like Pyroclast Mine) were removed. sadly FRoSS remains to be abused but oh well, it got slightly weaker too (curse rings/perma souleater - another dumb mechanic that had no place in this game). yeah VFoS is weaker, everyone knew it is just too good to be true. it still works on no budget, just like any other slam (Volcanic Fissure's drawback is that it is mixed scaling - proj/melee. VFoS removed that, streamlining the damage scaling AND it had multi-hit-auto-aim feature on top)

where nerfs are is the content - and to be frank 'map mod effect' was and remains one of the WORST GGG designs in their entire 10+ year existence. casual multiplier on mods that were never meant to be multiplied in the first place - the only solution: builds that can ignore as much of that crap as possible. much great design - if anyone told you he was risk farming T17 you KNEW the build pool he copied and had like 20% to blindly guess half of his items, ascendancy and merc gear. it was that dumb.

i wonder how anyone can defend 'farms' that crashed instances or made the actual gfx engine stall. these were absurd oversights on GGG part that should have been hotfixed day0, but they kept them going (POE2 wont build itself) and people though 'well well well'

regardless, my hype is also low - lack of any changes to ES and attribute stacking means we will be playing the same builds this league MAYBE changing active skill for a newly released one to 'feel different'.
allowing for ES/stacking build meta to prevail for years is just boring - Energy Blade/Spellblade/Battlemage just made it worse making most builds copies of eachother. aka boring.
