So glad asynchronous trade hit poe1
| Finally a modern innovation to an old game. also reduces headaches messaging 20 -30 sellers that dont respond. also prevents people from getting scammed. lmao. 2025 and people still defend ggg's archaic trade system saying its "functionally perfect" and defending this archaic systems lack of scam protection. congrats ggg. this definitely is a step in the right direction. if i were inclined to return i would definitely enjoy using this system immensely. | The inspiration game of D2 had mass identification in 2000. POE1 introduced mass identification in 2025. The much hated game of D3 had an auction house in 2012. POE1 introduces a worse version of an auction house in 2025. We're making progress at a glacial pace. | |
| " at least we're getting somewhere lol. as for worse version of AH i think its better. gold is now in a better place where there are more gold sinks. using async trade requires gold iirc. i dont know how poe is now, but back during settlers the only way players can get gold is if they run content and pick up gold. this actually deters bots as bots need to farm gold before they can automate trade. it also reduces people from over pricing their goods as listing requires gold. d3 AH was shit because it was literally RMT. also the best way to play the game was to just farm gold and buy upgrades. but yeah its interesting that you brought up the mass ID. i totally forgot about how tedious it is. | " The D3 AH had in-game currency (gold) and RMT versions. " So the same as POE1 except substitute "gold" with masses of orb-based currency. When do you see highlight reels from streamers of "hey look at this awesome rare item I found OFF THE GROUND"? They don't exist. This is a currency simulator in which your "immersion" is a trade site window. Why do rare items even drop in endgame? Why aren't they just purchased from a vendor with currency and we can bypass the actual rare drops tricking into you thinking that you are being rewarded? Why do rare items drop unidentified if you can confidently say 100% (rounding up) that they will be terrible? The questions continue... POE1 has many strengths but the item-based reward system OFF THE GROUND is definitely not one of them. Last edited by mnieradko#6070 on Oct 23, 2025, 10:21:50 PM | |
| It actually does not prevent brain dead people from getting scammed. Go look at the poe2 forums. | |
| " i agree with this, but this is not a trade related issue. this is a drop related issue. poe has always been on the stingy side when it comes to natural drops. " lol why call people braindead? i went in to check. from what i read, the ones getting scammed are using the old system. the new system prevents scams from happening using the new system. are you trying to paint it as tho the new system is supposed to prevent old system scams or am i missing something. i honestly dont know coz i havent played poe in a while. from what i remember. i've never been scammed using the async trade system as i get to see what i m trading for. what i see is what i get and based on the prices that was set. nothing more nothing less. | people are multi buying things that look the same with different prices. without paying attention to their prices because they dont want to read each item. or something like that. I dont generally play trade so i dont know the intricacies of these systems. They are braindead. They lose divines/hr if they read Async trade is in poe2 not poe1. i think youre thinking of the ship person that does currency trading in poe1. people were still getting scammed doing those trades also. | " i ll be real and also criticize those who get scammed by people using the ship person. if you can get scammed by using that system, then literally no system will prevent you from being scammed. and yeah... if thats the case... its really on them. as for async trade, it is coming to poe1. next patch. | " You need gold to trade in the currency exchange (both ways, buying or selling). Items sold through the merchant tab don't use any gold when listing. Only buyers need gold. | |
| " hmmmm... if this is how it is currently i think this should be changed. to me automated trade must always be taxed. gold should only be pick up only. so this can prevent bot sellers. also reduces people from "vanity posting". which tho harmless is annoying.
