Suggestion: Spectre abilities decoupled from specific mob type

It would be nice if we could somehow get an item that drops with a particular ability to apply to a given spectre slot, so that we could have the kind of spectre we want visually and still be able to get that spectres curse/aura/buff). It would also make it far less traumatic if you overwrote one of your spectres that had a harder to get buff, since it would be decoupled from the the minion type and be on the minion slot instead.

I've made similar requests many times but in my case it was primarily to remove useless attacks that make some monsters non-viable.

with your concept they merely need a "blank" skill to overwrite the one you don't want randomly and bam it also accomplishes my needs.
