Linking/Sharing Cosmetics in Forum Post - Easy Addition Please

You are currently able to share items in forum post by simply clicking your avatar image and then clicking the item once.

However, for some reason, you can not do the same a cosmetic. It would be very nice to be able to share/link cosmetics, especially the ones that track things like the Exile's Pilfering Ring.

Given the existing functionality and the shared interface for selection, it seems like a safe assumption that this would be an easy change?

I think its because cosmetics do not have an actual "base model" that can be yeeted from the game server onto a forum page. Actual functional items that drop on the floor, have this "base model".

I can link it in game, seems like it shouldnt be too hard to be able to link it here... but hm

I believe it would be highly beneficial to have a comprehensive overview of all statistics, related metrics integrated within the website. This could take the form of a dedicated page, similar to existing profile page tabs like the Character or Challenge tabs, you get the idea, offering users convenient access to either specific linked data or a broader summary for an entire league even if they don't directly own the mtx ingame. For instance, it might display collected currencies such as the Ring, track the quantities of Chaos and Vaal orbs used, or any orb at this rate, or tally the total numbers and tiers of maps completed.

Alternatively, there could be a master overview that aggregates data across all leagues, providing a complete picture of your progress over time. It would be fascinating to see how these statistics evolve over a couple of leagues.


As for why linking the Ring directly isn’t possible yet, I suspect it’s due to the current platform’s reliance on older technology, especially since item linking on the forums still feels like a leftover from earlier days of the game. That said, this seems like a relatively straightforward issue to address, so updating or implementing this feature shouldn’t be too difficult.
