Reflect should be changed (not what you think)

I know many people have ill feelings towards reflect mods in general but I was quite okay with it till I have learned about some messed up calculation logic in 3.26.

This league I have played a fortification/endurance charge/armour stacking champion with ground slam of earthshaking as my main skill with brutality support. My travel skill was leap slam and I have taken extra care that I don't deal any amount of elemental damage so that I can run ele/phys reflect maps, and deal with the phys reflect separately.

Seems good right? I deal big phys damage I am 100% immune to phys reflect I don't die right? WROOOOOONG!!!!!!!

So I died to phys reflect maps/atziri and couldn't figure it out how I am killing myself with 100% phys reflect immunity. After a couple of veteran players were looking at my POB it turns out the Eldritch implicit modifier on my body armour (x% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as random element) works like the following:

1. I deal big phys damage
2. the big phys damage is reflected back to me
3. A portion of that big phys damage is converted to big elemental damage
4. I mitigate 100% of the reflected physical damage
5. I die to the converted elemental damage

I really think it should not work like this. As soon as I have rerolled the modifier on my armour I had no problem with reflect, but it comes with the cost of losing a really strong defensive layer just to deal with this messed up logic.

The possible solutions to this problem were:
1. Don't run reflect maps as many players do (great)
2. Get rid of my defensive layer (awesome)
3. Figure out a way to get 100% elemental reflect as well, because funnily enough the converted part of my reflected damage still counts as reflected damage ater the conversion so when I had 100% ele reflect I also had no issue with the reflect maps/atziri.

I really don't think that it makes sense that I deal big phys damage which is reflected back to me and as a result I have to build against elemental reflect.

My suggestion is to make the conversion happen after the mitigation of the reflected damage and not before. I thik this would be much more intuitive and would be better thematically as well. Till then we just have to deal with it I guess......
