Auto Weapon Swap for POE 1 pls

Could POE 1 get auto weapon swap please, even if there is a slight delay?

I want to shield charge bonk in act 1 and play spell staves with shield charge late game.

lol this topic brings me back memories.

i've suggested auto weapon swap for poe 1 ages ago. it would function similarly to how it does on poe2.

the suggestion usually got poor traction either on forums nor reddit.

to my delight it is now a core feature in poe2 that now people are asking for in poe1.

I like using 2 copies of the same skill in my 2 weapons with different supports: one for trash clearing, one for single target. And I bind that skill to the same key in both weapon sets and switch between them depending on what I'm doing.

In PoE 2 this is impossible. It has only 1 set of key binds and auto-switches between the weapons.

I don't want this in PoE 1. In fact, I want an option in PoE 2 to bind weapon-granted skills to the same key.

it makes perfect sense why you wouldnt want poe2's implementation of weapon swap in poe1.

but instead of rejecting poe2's system, i think the better thing to ask for is for poe2's system to have more options that allow you to do what you want in it.

personally if i got poe2's system in poe1 i would also want to do almost exactly what youre doing.

albeit, i ll have one button dedicated for viper strike of the mamba as a damage starter, then one more button dediciated for regular viper strike, to deal constant damage.
