Instruments of Virtue (Inquisitor) and Channel Spells

Hi team! Hopefully someone would be able to finally addressed this.
can the 'Instrument of Virtue' affects Channel Skills? if not, what would be the specific example of skills / spells that could only benefit this node? (ie: someone mentioned that the 'Flame Dash' is a good example of it, but is flame dash an instant spell as well?) Thanks and kind regards, Last bumped on Oct 15, 2025, 5:13:45 AM

Flamedash is not instant, it has a cast time. Instant spells will say instant on their cast time, such as frostblink. Flamedash is also a blink and travel skill, but not instant cast, so they would be correct.

Flame Dash feels instant if you don't spam it, but it's more like its cast time is applied as a recovery after use. You can see the cast time in effect if you try to use all 3 charges in succession without moving in between.
Are you specifically asking about using channeling spells for the more Attack Damage buff? The start of a Channeling Spell is considered casting it, while maintaining the channel isn't, but I don't know if there's a minimum channeling time required or if a brief tap would be enough. I've not used it before myself. Maybe look at the meta data and see what kind of builds are using it.
Jadian is right about FD too, it has a funny interaction where I think casts very fast on the first cast if you haven't been using it recently, but I'm pretty sure it still counts as non-instant always. I think the damage increase for Instruments of virtue should show on the tool tip for your attack skills, so it should be pretty easy to test if your skills are buffing it.
