Crash on Startup

Since today the game instantly crashes after the GGG Logo on startup.
No changes to the system (neither hardware nor Software/Driver).
The game worked perfectly fine yesterday.
Driver update, system restart, file validation do not fix the problem.
No other games seem to be affected.

Client.txt

An upload of your most recent client.txt file can be ideal as a primary step in troubleshooting this problem.

This file contains some information about your game/PC configuration which may help put us in the right direction why you're having issues.

You can locate this file inside a folder named "Logs" which is located inside your main pathofexile.exe installation folder.

You can host this information inside this client.txt file to another site like
pastebin.com.
You do not need to create an account to use this site.

If the most recent client.txt file is too large you can split the main upload into 2 separate files to
pastebin.com and link each page URL back here if necessary.

This is the Client.txt Data but only the 25/9/2025
If more is needed or relevant I can
I just realized that i'm in the technical support for PoE1. I will get a support ticket for PoE2 (if someone could help me here i would be gratefull too)

This post in the tech support section is fine.
There's no need to have it in the poe2 early access area also.

Could you try changing a line in this file and see if it stops your crash?

Documents > My Games > Path of Exile 2 > poe2_production_Config.ini

Open the file in Notepad

Find the line that says:
reflex_mode=True

and change it to:
reflex_mode=Off

Save the file and make sure it saves as the .ini file and not a .txt file.

If it saves as .txt just change it to .ini in the Documents folder.

If that does not save the change, as a temp fix could you temporarily disable Reflex in your NVIDIA Control Panel to test?

Please let us know if it stops that error.

Sadly neither change worked. changing the setting in the .ini file (btw was lowLatency) made the start up work for around a second longer than usual but still crashed
someone did this for your error and it worked for them.

"1. Move your PoE folder somewhere else, skip the files that don't want to be moved.
2. Delete the remaining files that did not want to be moved, these are corrupted.
3. Move the game folder back and launch the game.
4. Let steam verify and download"
Tried that, but there were no file that could not be moved. everything got moved without issue (tried moving to different HDD/SSD)
I had experienced crashing like yours too but did not get the same error shown in your log files.

However, this fix might be worth a try:

Using "NVCleanstall", downgrade your graphics driver to 566.36 (most stable driver for 40 series cards) and then later, in nvidia control panel, set your shader cache size to 100gb instead of unlimited.
I didnt try the driver downgrad since the third clean reinstall of the game seemed to have done the trick.
I can start/play again without crashing.
TY for every tip you gave!
