Azmeri possessed Count Geanor continues to attack after death

I used the unique tablet to possess my bosses with azmeri spirits. When i got to my citadel with Count Geanor, he had the ghost snakes coming out of him (not actually sure if this was due to the azmeri spirit). those ghost snake apparitions will start attacking before he spawns, and continue attacking indefinitely after he's dead

after leaving the map and re-entering, the snakes are now invisible but still continue to attack
