Abyssal Lich - Unable to Summon Minions

I am no longer able to summon minions. The skill gems for frost mage, skeletal mage, and cleric take my spirit but nothing happens. The only way i can get anything to spawn is by equipping a rattling scepter. Two warriors come out, but i cannot make any more spawn when assigning additional spirit. I do not have a point in Umbral Well, as i respecced when it was not working.

I had 6 ascendancy points when i became an abyssal lich. I then went to the trial of chaos, got my final two points, and it respecced me to regular lich. I went back and became abyssal once more, and now i have the problem.
