Ailith’s Chimes Support Gem — Combo Charges Not Retained with Falling Thunder

When socketing the new Abyssal support gem Ailith’s Chimes into the skill Falling Thunder (supported by Culmination II to enable combo generation), power charges behave inconsistently — particularly vs. bosses. On normal packs, the mechanic works as expected most of the time, reliably generating and holding power charges.

However, on bosses, power charges (monitored via the player buff bar) are sometimes generated for a split second (up to the stated cap, e.g., 7) but then immediately disappear. It seems the charges are revoked or consumed instantly before they can be utilized.

Testing with casting into empty space or against normal monsters shows the intended functionality is present, I was unable to find a consistent scenario to reproduce the functionality or bug with the power charge generation.

I disabled all other auras/persistent skills and heralds - which does not seem to influence the behavior.

Steps to Reproduce:

Equip Falling Thunder with Ailith’s Chimes and Culmination II.

Attack enemys until at least 10 combo and monitor the generation and retention of power charges after executing Falling Thunder.
Sometimes Charges appear in the buff bar for a mere instant, then disappear before they can be used, especially on single enemy boss fights.

Additional Notes:
- Attack speed or animation breakpoint adjustments did not affect the issue.
- No kill requirement for combo generation

System & Setup:
Path of Exile 2 Rise of the Abyss (0.3.0c, current patch).

Skill: Falling Thunder, with support gems: Ailith’s Chimes, Culmination II.

Character using the skill tree node "Hollow Palm" (No weapon equipped)

Expected Behavior:
Power charges should be generated and persist as described.

Actual Behavior:
Charges disappear immediately after being granted, especially in single target encounters.
