Corrupted Nexus Boss Dissapears

When killing the final boss of the map and dying to him at the same time the corrupted nexus boss both spawns and then is despawned with all of the other enemies on the map, so even though I have lives left I now cannot complete the corrupted nexus boss kill for progression.
