About the treasure of utzaal quest to unlock the combine of runes

So i died in HC and went to SC, i already completed the quest in HC thus i cannot complete it again in SC, is my only choice to create a new char and make that char to finish the treasure of utzaal quest in SC so that i can finally combine runes and essences?
