Loot Filter Broken

So, it seems I might be the only one with this bug. I can not get any filter to work. I am able to load any of them just fine and even says it is loaded and running. It changes the icons of the items, plays the sounds and even puts the beam of light on certain items. But no matter what it doesn't hide the items. Highlighting all items will show everything regardless of the filter settings. When I turn it off, it show zero items no matter what. I even changed it to strict and it will show all the crap items still. Only thing that wont work is it hiding the items it was suppose to filter. The setting for it doesn't do anything either that hides it in the world, on or off. I even reinstalled the game and still not filtering the bad items out. Loads the rest of the filter though. What is going on here? It is gonna drive me away from the game because end game will be a god awful exp without it. 0.3 has messed up my game or account

The first part shows that the filter is indeed working. That's good.

What items are hidden depends on a number of things, but I would assume that what's happening to you here is that you're expecting it to filter out more than it does, because you're either still in the campaign or not far into the endgame? Neversink's filter is built with the leveling experience in mind as well.

Looking at the settings for Neversink's Strict filter, you won't start seeing a lot of items being hidden by the filter until start maps. Things start getting filtered more aggressively at area level 65.

The "Always Highlight" setting is somewhat separate from the filter, giving you one of these three states:
Setting off: No item/door/chest/etc labels display by default, labels display when moused over. Items shown by the filter display labels when moused over and can be picked up.
Setting on, or off+holding alt: Labels displayed, including for items shown by the filter.
Setting on+holding alt: Labels displayed, now including items that don't pass the filter
Does campaign affect the filter or does the filter know you are still in campaign? I'm level 56 and going from Least restricted filter of Neversink, all the way to the most strict, doesn't change anything. With highlight always on, not one single item shows, with it on, every single drop shows on all the filters. I haven't had this issue at all when leveling before. I can get to maps first to see if it starts working.

Filters can be configured to treat items differently based on their item level or the area level. Naturally, item level in the endgame means a lot: early on, you can aim for items that can roll a higher tier of important modifiers, like physical damage on martial weapons; later on, because you're going to want to know what items can actually roll all the highest tiered modifiers you want.

That configuration also works for the campaign: items you want shown in act 1-2 are items you'd (almost) never want to highlight in the endgame.

Neversink's filter does have leveling rules, and you can preview those on the filterblade website's Simulate tab by changing the area level and clicking "Generate loot".

If you want to start hiding drops in the campaign, try looking at the Very Strict filter.
